2000 Rolex Daytona Ref. 116520 P-Series 'Panna dial' Full Set

The Ref. 116520 was produced from 2000 until 2016. The aesthetics of the 116520 are very similar to the previous Ref. 16520 but a few changes took place.

Offered for sale here is an extremely beautiful example of a Rolex Daytona Cosmograph ‘Panna’. Belonging to the P serial range, it is part of the first series of ref. 116520 that was released just after the so called Rolex Zenith Ref. 16520. These MK1s ref. 116520 receive the nick name “cream dial” due to the creamy tone the dial acquires only in this batch, making it very rare and the most sough-after for savvy collectors.

Being the most sough-after version, this example here is in extraordinarily good shape, with little aging. The 40mm excluding the original crown and the screw pushers stainless steel case remains thick and robust, as well as the Oyster bracelet with solid links and end links.

The dial in this example hasn’t acquired too much creamy tone but it is bone-white rather than plain white.

It comes suited on the original 20mm Rolex Oyster 78490 bracelet stamped DT2 that presents little to no stretch.

It is presented as a full set, including the outer box with reference and dial color stickers (confirming its original white dial), inner box, big booklet wallet, smaller wallet, calendar, manuals, translation leaflet and original, stamped guarantee papers confirming it was sold in 2002 by a Rolex AD in Spain, country where we are based and where we bought it directly to the original owner.

It is running well and keeping time although service history is unknown.
