Offered for sale here is a Rolex Submariner Ref. 14060 that dates to 1990.
The black glossy dial is lovely, showing some light aging and a stunning creamy patina hue on the hour markers. The hands have aged a few shades lighter, something very common on these and a sign that they haven’t been relumed to make them match.
The case remains in strong condition, showing thick lugs and normal signs of wear. The case back remains in the same condition. The original insert is absolutely crazy. It has faded into a very cool burgundy-brown hue and still preserves the original pearl/pip that has aged to a matching patina. What a blast of character!
It is running well and keeping time, although service history is unknown.
The sapphire crystal was a small mark at 11.
It comes suited on its original Rolex Oyster 93150 stainless-steel bracelet with 501B end links and clasp code P11 that remains in great shape, showing normal signs of use and with little stretch.
Furthermore, it comes as a full set which includes outer box, inner box and punched guarantee papers showing it was sold by a Rolex Retailer in Hong Kong in 1992.
Indeed, a beautiful watch with sporty yet classy looks perfect for any time.
Macros of the dial and case are available under request.
