The example offered here is a Rolex GMT-Master Ref. 16750 from 1982 with WGS ‘Bicchierini’ dial.
The glossy dial, which, according to production dates, is probably from the mid-80s replaced during a service, has aged into a stunning way; a cool brown patina has built around the white gold surroundings of the hour markers. The rest of the surface remains very glossy and smooth, with no visible wear. The original tritium lume on the markers have developed a beautiful creamy patina which matches that on the original hands.
The stainless steel case remains completely untouched and unpolished, featuring sharp bevels and showing signs of wear throughout the years. The case back remains in the same condition. The stainless steel bezel remains sharp and unpolished too. The original fat font bezel insert features a stunning fading; the blue portion shows a light sky blue and the red portion a pale pinky red.
Indeed, a watch full of character!
It comes suited on its original Rolex Oyster 78360 solid-links stainless steel bracelet with 580 end links and matching clasp code H that shows light signs of wear and little stretch.
The original acrylic crystal has some scratches but also remains unpolished.
The watch is running well and keeping time as it has been fully serviced recently.
Macros of dial and case are available under request, as well as movement, inner case back and service pictures.
