The example on offer here is a Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 in 18K yellow gold from 1960.
The sunburst ‘No Lume’ champagne dial features ‘Wide Boy’ hour markers and remains in flawless condition with no visible wear. The baton hands show a creamy patina on the tritium.
The even 18k yellow gold case is great, showing a rosy patina from aging and only light signs of use. The 18k yellow gold fluted bezel is also in excellent condition, showing only light wear and a rosy patina hue too. The case back remains in strong condition, still partially preserving the protective sticker. The case and inner case back have the correct hallmarks clearly visible.
The watch comes on an elegant black croc strap with matching golden Rolex buckle.
The acrylic crystal is clean.
The watch is running great and keeping time, as it has been fully serviced recently.
Macros of dial and case are available under request, as well as movement, inner case back and service pictures.
